Sally enjoys working on a broad range of chemical subject-matter, including pharmaceuticals, inks and materials. She is mainly involved in prosecuting patent applications before the EPO and the UK IPO, but she also has experience in drafting and opposition work.
Before joining E+F in 2015, Sally studied Chemistry at the University of Oxford and obtained her MChem with First Class Honours. During the final year of her degree, Sally specialised in chemical crystallography. Her final year project investigated the synthesis and properties of a new family of metal-organic frameworks, focussing on the magnetic order and structural trends exhibited by these compounds. Sally also gained experience with a summer research placement at Jacobs University in Bremen, where she synthesised polyoxometalate clusters for use in catalysis.
