Asher qualified as a European and UK patent attorney in 2025, having joined Elkington + Fife in 2021.  He works across a broad range of fields including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, advanced materials and consumer goods.  He has significant experience with opposition and appeal work, as well as with FTOs, infringement opinions and patent prosecution.

Before joining E+F, Asher studied Chemistry at the University of Oxford, graduating with a 1st Class Honours Degree in 2021. For his final year research project, Asher studied the catalytic cycle of NiFe hydrogenases – using IR microspectroscopy to probe single crystals of the enzyme.
